We believe that the future of big data depends on our ability to explore and understand data and research results in a visual manner. We have developed a 3D Heatmap tool that uses video game engines to represent data in a 3D space for interactive exploration. Further, our Idea Space in the Richards Building is Penn’s first immersive data visualization facility. This facility is open to all faculty, students, and staff across the university.
